Finland's Education System

Hi, everyone! I hope your days are good. For a long time, I haven't shared anything here. 

Today I have watched a video in my Classroom Management course. It was a treasure for the micro, mezzo, macro, and ecological systems in education. For this reason, I decided to share it with you for your enlightment.

It's related to the success of education in Finland. I hope you like it.

HIGH GRADES SPELL

Hello all! How is your life going on?
Today, I will introduce you to a digital story that I prepared with my friend, Merve Aktaş.
The process of making a digital story was time-consuming and hard but we could manage it and prepare it finally. It is worth trying. Also, it was very enjoyable. I drew a character and it made me happy. I made everybody see this picture and say "Look! I did this." We used the Movie Maker to prepare our digital story and we used a camera to get vivid images.
Our topic is "High Grades Spell" and we did it with our imagination.  I hope you'll like it. Let's watch!

ZOOBE

Hello, everyone! How's it going? What about having information about a digital storytelling app?

                                It's Zoobe.                          

 

This is the homepage of "Zoobe". You can send 3D animated messages to your friends with your own voice or your character's voice. You can download it for free. It's available on the App Store and Google Play.

 

When you upload it, firstly determine what you want to say as a message. A birthday message or "A hello from your holiday" ?

 

 

Then you choose your character.

 

 

There are many characters to select as an actor or actress in your zoobe. Some are

   free, some are expected to pay. 

 

 

After you decide on your character, you should decide on your text and record your voice. 

 

 

You can rate the app, have a look at the shop of it, share on your twitter, facebook or google+ and you can be trained how to use it.

 

You can find this section on animaton section where you decide on what your character is and how it looks.

  You can also find examples of inspiration for you and "My Zoobes" section. Here are the screenshots!

I want to recommend an activity that can be used in EFL classrooms for EFL teachers.

• In every month, one student's birthday can be chosen to be celebrated. In these days, student can record their voices to prepare a birthday message, then they can share their messages through facebook or twitter for their classroom pages. Those whose birthday are celebrated are changed in turn every month.

MEMRISE

Hello, everyone!
Do you want me to present you an English learning and practicing site?
Here it is. It's "Memrise".

This is the homepage of the site. It is a language learning site. Memrise doesn't address new beginners but it can be easily applied to the other learning stages.

There are actually 19 people who work for the creation of this page.

 

I wanna give information about two of them: Anne Sørensen and Daniel Zohar.

Anne Sørensen is in charge of in-house content creation efforts.
She speaks Danish, English, and German and she is learning Mandarin and Spanish. She has a BA in history with an MA in linguistics.

My Favorite Book: David Copperfield

Hello everyone! Finally, I can show you my wiki homework. In our homework, we created a wiki page including our favorite book. Mine is "David Copperfield" as you see in my post title. While doing this homework, I confronted a few problems because I couldn't understand the instructions my teacher said, but I finally managed it without a problem. It was very enjoyable to do this homework since this homework reminded me of the books that I read throughout my life and I became happy. I didn't get bored, I hope you'll like it. Let's read!

Hello! We are Elif and Derya (deryaaktass.blogspot.com.tr). This is our first podcasting project. We prepared this podcast in pairs for our Technology and Material Design course. As you see, my partner is Derya. We used this website (http://vocaroo.com/) to produce our project.  It's very easy to use. While preparing our podcast, we didn't confront any problems, except recording it so many times and there were also lots of enjoyable moments. We enjoyed a lot. We tried to record the best one. We laughed so much that we couldn't keep recording our voices sometime. We recommend it everybody to make themselves have fun. Additionaly,  I want to thank Aykut Gülşahin for his help.
